The application works on both iPhone and iPad devices.
Background
"The purpose of the Sentinel Shield dVPN application is to clearly represent the Sentinel’s brand identity with regards to its privacy use-cases, and to give insight to the community as well as to developers into the potential of what can be built on Sentinel."
Unlike Android, iOS does not allow application installations from third-party sources. Therefore, any project looking to publish software on the platform must receive direct approval from the company—and acquiesce to any demand they make.
As most will be aware, the traditional corporate world's attitude towards blockchain-powered products is perplexed on a good day, and hostile on a bad one. That was (in a nutshell) the catalyst for a predicament with the Apple App Store team which put the brakes on the flagship's full rollout for months.
Fortunately, that ordeal has now come to close.
The long-awaited Sentinel Shield #dVPN is now live for iPhone/iPad and MacOS users on the App Store along with a fiat on-ramp through Apple Pay!

New Features
No compromises in application functionality, security, or privacy were made in order to appease Apple: In the Medium article, the team explains that changes to terminology and the addition of an Apple Pay-powered fiat gateway were required in order to finally receive the green light.
This fiat gateway is also optional; the application has retained digital asset payments and its built-in wallet.
Some other new features unrelated to app store compliance are also being introduced:
- High performance nodes will soon be separated from regular nodes on the application interface.
- For an extra fee, Shield subscribers will soon have access to residential nodes.
Other Versions
Android
The application's initial launch took place back in May, on the Android platform. Our coverage from the time, complete with a comprehensive guide for users is available below.

The application is available on the Google Play Store for that platform.
Desktop
No timetable for desktop versions of Sentinel Shield has been released recently by the team, however we do know that a Windows version of the application is still planned and that some measure of development progress has already been made on it.
