dVPN News Becomes P2P News, Merges with S.I.N.

Following over one hundred articles since spring of 2024 and a total visual overhaul of the site at the start of this year, we at dVPN News (and the Sentinel Growth DAO) have some brand new announcements to make about the website's future.

• Going forward, dVPN News will be called P2P News in order to align ourselves with Sentinel's broader focus. The site's domain (P2P.news) has been changed to reflect this.
• Sentinel Independent News, better known as S.I.N., is being merged into P2P News, which has consolidated both of Sentinel's community news services into one lean machine.

Neither of these changes will have any impact on our articles, outside of more superficial improvements such as better headline graphics and revamped non-article pages.

The new name is following the same ethos as the ticker change is: Not a pivot away from dVPN, but an effort to be inclusive of Sentinel's other ambitions—namely, the Sentinel Scout AI Data Layer. Our articles will still primarily focus on dVPN applications and Sentinel core development just as they did before.

The dVPN.news domain has also been retained and redirected to the new one, so existing links to our articles across Telegram, Reddit, X, and other platforms will continue to function.

S.I.N. Merger: Introducing P2P Newswire

Sentinel Independent News was established in 2022 as Sentinel's first community news service. It was primarily active on Telegram and X; but has contributed long-form articles to this website for over a year.

S.I.N.'s Telegram newsfeed and X account, which sport nearly a thousand followers and subscribers, will be rebranded as P2P Newswire and will now function as this site's 24/7 headline news service.

Those accounts will continue to broadcast every happening within the Sentinel Ecosystem along with links to fresh articles whenever they're published.

The Newswire feeds will continue to be managed by the same personnel as before and maintain the same format. P2P News will inherit S.I.N.'s pre-2025 history and content; and many of the resources it maintained separately from this site will be ported here over the coming weeks.
