Who are NORSE Labs?
NORSE Labs is a third-party cybersecurity product developer that was acquired last year by SOLAR Labs, the Estonian company behind SOLAR dVPN—Sentinel's oldest extant third-party dVPN client until its retirement this month.
Instead of absorbing its acquisition, SOLAR Labs has opted to adopt its branding and put out a fresh line of Sentinel-powered products. Russian dissident Alexandr Litreev, a Navalny associate who has appeared on BloombergTV and been profiled by Joel Khalili for TechRader, remains the CEO.
The freshly-consolidated company has brought on new collaborators from the cybersecurity industry for assistance in creating these new upcoming products, which include NORSE dVPN (the successor to SOLAR dVPN), an SDK for dVPN developers, and NORSE Endpoint Security—an antivirus suite which the company was developing in 2023 before its takeover by Litreev.
