Preview: Sentinel at Cosmoverse 2025
On the heel of a rebrand and multiple new releases, Sentinel is traveling to sunny Croatia for the Cosmos Ecosystem's marquee annual event.
Sentinel will return to Cosmoverse tomorrow (30 October), as the three-day annual event kicks off its 2025 installment. This will mark the third time that the project is participating in the Cosmos Ecosystem's flagship conference, having previously attended the 2021 and 2024 events.
Our coverage of Cosmoverse 2024, held last October in Dubai, is available to read below. Sentinel's attendance last year, spearheaded by the Sentinel Growth DAO and Valt Data, marked the project's triumphant return to the conference after a two-year absence.

What is Cosmoverse?
Cosmoverse is a gathering of the ecosystem's builders, media figures, and community members which has been held every year since the launch of Cosmos Hub in 2021.
It offers attendees and online viewers speeches, workshops, panel discussions, showcases, and other fun events which bring together the dozens of sovereign projects which comprise Cosmos under one roof.
The event's curated "tracks" highlight the different aspects of Web3 and the blockchain world, such as enterprise infrastructure, stablecoins, AI, gaming, and DeFi. This year, Sentinel has been placed on the ZK & Privacy track ("ZK" being "zero knowledge").

The host city of Cosmoverse 2025 is Split, a beautiful and ancient city on the southern Adriatic coast of Croatia with a metropolitan population of about 330,000 people. In addition to being a popular European holiday destination, Split is also known as the home of Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO world heritage site.
The venue for the conference itself taking place at the beachside Le Méridien Lav hotel and resort. The main stage, located in the hotel ballroom, seats up to eight hundred guests. The exhibition space will feature over thirty booths run by Cosmos projects and conference partners. Exclusive events will be held in the executive lounge and hacker lounge; and many side events will also be held outside the hotel across the city.

Profile
Aleksandr Litreev is a Russian-born developer, cybersecurity specialist, and activist.
In the late 2010s, he became a target for political prosecution in Russia due to his prominent participation the anti-regime movement. Since his escape from the country—where he had faced constant state harassment and even a period of imprisonment—he has become both a citizen of Estonia and resident of the United States.
He has been a core contributor to Sentinel, a project that naturally aligns with his pro-freedom philosophy, in various capacities since 2021: First as a backend developer, then as the CEO of NORSE Labs (formerly SOLAR Labs), a company whose products have been responsible for the bulk of Sentinel's consumer adoption. Earlier this year, he was appointed as the project's first-ever CEO by the Sentinel Foundation.

- Litreev will be delivering a keynote address to attendees on Day 3 (1 November) on the main stage at 11:45 AM local time (10:45 UTC). The speech is titled Sentinel P2P: Blockchain Complexity to Mass Adoption.
- He will also join Alex Zaidelson of Secret Network on the main stage again for a Privacy Fireside at 12:15 AM local time (11:15 UTC).
