Cosmoverse: Breadcrumbs Takes the Stage
Both Breadcrumbs and its CEO Zac Wickstrom made their debut as a one of Sentinel's marquee developers at Cosmoverse today; firmly establishing their place within the Sentinel ecosystem and emphasizing a commitment to advancing privacy protection and user data sovereignty.

Breadcrumbs dVPN is a decentralized VPN client and personal data manager available for both Android and iOS devices. It has been developed quietly on Sentinel's open source dVPN architecture since 2022 by Breadcrumbs Data, a San Francisco-based tech startup.

Wickstrom and Sentinel were featured on the AI Track discussion panel, which followed Akash Network CEO Greg Osuri's keynote speech. Cosmoverse "tracks" are specialized segments focusing on specific blockchain topics (such as AI, DePIN, or NFTs).
Sentinel matured into a global peer-to-peer bandwidth marketplace this year, and even launched an AI data acquisition protocol to complement the blockchain's dVPN functions.
The intersection between dVPN and the commodification of data provided by Breadcrumbs made them a perfect vessel to deliver a statement to the world about the project's future course. The company has had difficulty finding the spotlight within the competitive Sentinel application ecosystem over the past two years, but an innovative approach towards building with Sentinel's open source architecture culminated in a game-changing moment in the sun for them today.
The full video of Wickstrom's panel appearance is available on YouTube, courtesy of OmniFlix Network. The Breadcrumbs CEO was joined by representatives of Akash Network, Warden Protocol, and Oraichain.
The portion of the video featuring the AI Track panel begins at approximately 6:42:00.
Cosmos Ecosystem influencer Alex Cosmonaut also shared a snippet of Wickstrom with his X followers.

The App
The Breadcrumbs application offers the same secure browsing as centralized competitors, while utilizing Sentinel's peer-to-peer distributed node network and trustless architecture to protect user data from centralized control.
The app has arguably the sleekest and most professional frontend design of any Sentinel offering to date, but its perks are more than superficial. Amongst Sentinel's ever-expanding stable of dVPN clients, there is one particular feature which truly sets Breadcrumbs apart.

The integration of a proprietary data marketplace, where users can control, monetize, and sell their personal browsing data. This innovative approach to dVPN allows users to protect their privacy while simultaneously selling their data through a transparent, user-controlled platform.
Breadcrumbs also includes an AI assistant named Atlas which can further assist users with data management.

Download & Pricing
Breadcrumbs is already available for Android and iOS devices, and can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple App Stores.

Desktop versions of the application for Windows, Mac, and Linux distributions are planned; as well as browser extensions for both Chromium and Safari.
Pricing for Breadcrumbs subscriptions depends heavily on the plan duration. Selecting the one-year plan or two-year plan (instead of monthly) leads to a far larger discount than typical introductory offers for VPNs or data managers.
Duration | Monthly Rate (USD) |
---|---|
2-Year Plan | $8.24/month |
1-Year Plan | $9.99/month |
Monthly | $24.99/month |
